Dashboard
- What does the dashboard show me?
- Your collection at a glance — total value, card count, and the portfolio performance chart over time.
- How often is the collection value updated?
- Prices are refreshed automatically on a regular schedule; the portfolio chart captures the value once per day.
Collection
- How do I add cards to my collection?
- Pick a card from search and add it, or scan cards in the Lumex mobile app — they show up here automatically too.
- Can I change condition, language, or foil for several cards at once?
- Yes, via bulk edit: select cards and change condition/language/foil for all selected cards at once.
- How do I export my collection?
- As a CSV file or a Moxfield list — both options are in the export menu of the Collection view.
- Why don't I see more than 1000 cards right away?
- The view loads pages incrementally; export and "select all" always account for your entire collection regardless.
Collection: Filters & Search
- What's the difference between “Color” and “Color Identity”?
- “Color” is the mana-cost color of the card's front face. “Color Identity” is broader: it also counts every colored mana symbol in abilities/rules text and any color indicator — it determines Commander legality. The two can diverge, e.g. a colorless land with a color-producing ability: its “Color” is colorless, but its “Color Identity” still carries a color.
- What does the “Layout” filter mean?
- The card's structural layout — e.g. Normal, Split, Flip, Transform, Modal DFC, Adventure, or Meld. Describes how the card is physically built, not how it's visually designed.
- What does the “Print Variant” filter mean?
- Visual design features of a specific print: Extended Art, Full Art, Borderless, Showcase, or Promo. A card can be both “Extended Art” and “Promo” at the same time, for example.
- What's the difference between “Layout” and “Print Variant”?
- “Layout” is the card's physical structure (e.g. double-sided for Transform) and independent of the print. “Print Variant” is the visual design of a specific print (e.g. Full Art) and independent of layout. Both filters can be combined freely.
- What is the “Reserved List”?
- A list of cards Wizards of the Coast has committed to never reprint. The “Reserved List only” filter shows exclusively cards on this list.
- What is “Mana Value” (CMC)?
- A card's total mana cost as a single number, regardless of the individual colors in its mana cost — also known as “Converted Mana Cost” (CMC).
- What do the color-mode options “Any of these”/“Includes these”/“Exactly these”/“No more than these” mean?
- They control how multiple selected colors combine for the “Color” filter: “Any of these” shows cards with at least one selected color (OR), “Includes these” requires all selected colors (may have more), “Exactly these” requires exactly the selected color combination, “No more than these” allows a subset of the selected colors.
- How does the advanced (Pro) search work?
- Type field:value into the search box, e.g. color:R or rarity:mythic. Multiple terms combine with AND automatically; “OR” combines with OR (only within the same field). Number fields (price, power, mana value, color count, …) also support the comparison operators <, >, <=, and >=, e.g. price>10 or manavalue<=3. A comma on the same field is shorthand for OR, e.g. color:R,U.
- Which fields does the advanced search support?

Deck Manager
- What can I build decks from?
- Your own collection or the full card catalog, even for cards you don't own yet.
- What does the Analyzer show me?
- Mana curve, color devotion, and which cards in your deck are still missing from your collection.
- Can I add missing deck cards directly to my wishlist?
- Yes, one click adds every missing card of a deck to your wishlist.
Wishlist
- What is the wishlist for?
- Cards you want to buy — whether they came from a deck or were added directly.
- How do I export my wishlist for shopping?
- As a Cardmarket wantlist — the export is right in the wishlist view.
Scanning & card recognition
- Where do I scan cards?
- Scanning happens in the Lumex mobile app (Android) using the camera — this web app has no scanning feature of its own. The Android app is currently in closed testing (see /beta).
- How does card recognition work?
- The app recognizes cards via on-device image matching, no internet connection needed. If recognition isn't confident, the card is flagged for manual confirmation instead of being added automatically.
- Do scanned cards show up here on the web too?
- Yes. The web app and the mobile app share the same account and collection, always in sync.
Sync
- Do I need to sync my collection manually?
- No, sync runs automatically in the background as soon as you're signed in to the same account on both the web app and the mobile app. The Android app is currently in closed testing (see /beta).
- What happens if I edit a card while offline?
- Changes are saved locally and synced automatically once you're back online.
Settings
- What can I configure here?
- Currently your display language and tag management. More preferences are on the way.
Lumex vs. Lumex Pro
- What's the difference between Lumex and Lumex Pro?
- Lumex (the app and this web app) is built for collectors managing their own collection. Lumex Pro is a separate product for dealers, available at pro.lumex-tcg.de.
- Do I need a Lumex Pro account to use Lumex?
- No, both products work independently and each requires its own account.
